This Sunday is New Year’s Day 2023.
Over Advent and Christmas we have followed a series “Welcome Home”. This Sunday’s focus will be that God’s home is always open to us: Welcome Home ~ Always Open! It’s about Forever in the family and Kingdom of God.
When God welcomes us home, it’s not a short-term solution to the age old problem of sin and all that separates us from God. It’s a forever solution.
Salvation is a gift for life – eternal life. When God invites us home, he makes us holy, he invites us into the family. We are brothers and sisters of each other and of the Lord! When we worship together, being blessed by the Lord, being forgiven, listening to His Word and singing songs of the Lord, we truly are expressing this ‘forever’ gift of God.
The Kingdom of God is always open. God remains ready and waiting to receive; to pour out mercy and welcome us and more into his Kingdom.
