And so we step into our final 3 months of serving together. Our Ministry Team have agreed that we revisit and take up the SA/NT District Theme: ‘Real Grace; Real Life; Real Community’. Our thinking is that in this we will be reaffirming who we are as God’s faithful people, serving together at Faith Warradale. I’ll be considering the Lord’s Word week by week and highlighting each aspect of the theme. You will hear God’s Word of law – how he expects us to live; and Gospel – how he will enable us to continue as his forgiven people.
This week the Gospel tells us about a normal human approach where the disciples James and John ask for special positions with Jesus. Jesus responds by reminding them and us, that greatness comes at a price. To live alongside Jesus is ours through servanthood. The ultimate price is sacrifice – and that’s what Jesus has done for us so that we can live and serve with Him – now and into eternity.
