We have heard Jesus’ great commission many times in the past: to go and baptise and teach; to gather people into the kingdom of God. How will this Sunday be any different? At this stage, I don’t even know exactly what Pastor Steve will preach on. What I do know is that we will be fed with the gospel. We will, in some shape or form, receive the bread of life to strengthen and equip us in faith and love. We will be challenged, once again, to ‘do as God does’; to recognise his presence in our lives – His call on our lives; to go, using whatever giftedness or capacity we have; to be the presence of Jesus in the world. God willing, we want to share good news with everyone – we will invite others into Jesus’ presence.
So dear friends: look forward to a feast of life together with the Lord. Look forward to encouragement from the Lord. Look forward to what the Lord will work in you.
