There are lots of ways to describe the life stages of faith. Baby Faith. New Faith. Growing Faith. Fragile Faith. Solid Faith. Dynamic Faith. Finally, the Lord speaks of faith becoming mature.
In chapter 4 of Ephesians this process of maturing faith is unpacked and we are challenged to grow in faith. There are several key elements identified by the Apostle Paul: Humility and Gentleness. Patience. Love for each other. Serving each other. Working for unity. Peace. Shared faith. Recognizing God’s gifts in each other. Exercising their purposes for the sake of each other and the Kingdom.
Finally comes the admonition: Grow up and stop acting like children – listen to Jesus. Love each other. In all these things God is at work in and through us, bringing us to be more and more like Jesus, more and more mature in faith.
