THE GIFT OF DISILLUSIONMENT.
I bought this book last week and the title caught my attention. I thought disillusionment was a curse, not a gift. Most places I look, in the world and in the church, and often in my own home, I see disillusionment. People are discouraged. People are losing hope. How can this be good?
It can be good when it leads us to discover that our hopes have been pinned on illusions. Disillusionment can be a gift when it opens our eyes to see our false hopes and to search for a solid rock to build our hopes on. Disillusionment is a gift when it drives us to trust in God, in the mist of the struggles and disappointments of life.
The word YET is precious. No matter what, YET will I praise You….
