One of our main goals is to know, love, live and share Jesus with the people in our congregation and those in the surrounding community. One way we demonstrate this is by having a community meal where delicious homemade food is served to all who come along. We cater for most dietary requirements, and the evenings frequently have a special or seasonal theme.

This bi-monthly event on a Friday evening from 5.30pm to 8.00pm is open to all. It provides an opportunity for our church to connect with the community, to share a meal and to give an opportunity for friendships to be made. Everyone is welcome to come along and join us. We can assist with transport if required.

Men from our community and neighbouring churches meet for breakfast on the third Saturday of each month (except December) at 8.30am.

A hearty BBQ breakfast is provided for a $10 donation and is followed by a guest speaker or a discussion on a current topic/s, and prayer. We often hear of God at work in people’s lives to encourage and inspire us.

We would love to welcome you to join us for a meal, a chat, and the opportunity to share our faith and prayer.

We are linking young people with Youth Groups run by other local congregations. These groups focus on growth in Christian life through fun and games in a safe, friendly environment. Activities usually include fun, games, discussions, worship and supper.

We believe that children learn from and imitate their parents and so we strongly encourage the development of their faith at home. To support this we provide the 'Growing Faith at Home' resource to assist (see Links page).

We provide an activity table and resource folders so that children can remain in church during services to foster cross-generational sharing and to allow children to see and experience the praise, joy and love of believers in worship. Also as part of each worship, there is a brief children’s talk to engage them with a simple message applicable to both the young and the not-so-young among us.

We also run a mainly music kids playgroup for pre-school children during the week. See below.

On Thursday mornings between 9.30am and 11.00am during school terms, we run a mainly music program for pre-school children and their parents, grandparents, caregivers.

This involves music, songs, movement, dance and rhymes to assist the children in developing their coordination, fine and gross motor skills, social interaction and language. We encourage the caregiver to be actively involved with their child in these sessions. Each session is run by volunteers from our community and other local churches – 'lt takes a village to raise a child'.

After the musical component of the session, there is an opportunity for parents to enjoy a morning tea and chat in a relaxed setting while the children spend some time in supervised play in the adjacent area.

This fellowship focuses on providing social activities for older retirees, but it is open to all ages. It meets on an adhoc basis with a relaxed activity usually followed by morning tea or a light lunch. Activities have included travel talks, musical mornings, visits to events, and occasionally an Easter and Christmas lunch.

We have other groups that meet less formally and on an ad hoc basis. A group of women meet monthly on Saturdays mornings at various local cafes, other groups gather around various special interests, and another who gather to study the Bible and life today.

We have men’s groups, women’s groups and mixed groups for people of all ages. Some have a major focus on Christian study and others on social activities or service, but generally, they have aspects of all three. Some groups are held during the day and others in the evening.

Personal growth, pastoral care and a deepening relationship with God occurs within our groups. Group time is spent sharing joys and struggles, studying God's word together, praying, and providing encouragement and mutual support. On the first Monday of each month except January, a group of men and women gather at the church to do general gardening and maintenance jobs. Faith’s Army starts from 8.30am and finishes before 12.00 noon with a cuppa and chat in between.

We believe that keeping the church plant and the surrounding grounds neat, tidy and safe is one of the ways we can show love and care to our church family and community. All are welcome to join in.
